Waffle Candy

Waffle is liked by many and when it is coated with chocolate and sprinkled with sugar sprinklers, it indeed makes for an amazing and fun-looking dessert! This is a Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Ingredients 

  • 1¼ cups refined flour (maida)
  • ⅓ cup cocoa powder
  • ½ tsp baking powder
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup milk
  • ¼ cup melted butter + for greasing
  • 1 tsp vanilla essence
  • ¾ cup castor sugar
  • Melted dark chocolate as required
  • Melted white chocolate as required
  • Sugar sprinklers for sprinkling

Method

  1. Sieve refined flour along with cocoa powder in a large bowl. Add baking powder and break in the eggs and add ½ cup milk and whisk till well combined. Add remaining milk and whisk till a smooth mixture is formed.
  2. Add melted butter and vanilla essence and whisk well. Add sugar and mix well.
  3. Preheat a waffle iron, grease with butter and pour a portion of the batter. Cover and cook for 4-5 minutes or till done. Take the waffles off the heat and allow to cool slightly.
  4. Cut the waffles in half and insert an ice cream stick. Dip each in melted dark chocolate and allow to set.
    Drizzle white chocolate on top of each and sprinkle sugar sprinklers on top. Serve.
