Ingredients list for Vrat Ke Pakode - Sk Khazana

  • 1 1/2 cups Amaranth flour (rajgira atta)
  • 3 Potatoes medium, peeled and soaked in water
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli powder
  • Rock salt (sendha namak) to taste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped
  • Oil for deep frying
  • Coconut chutney to serve

Method

  1. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  2. Take amaranth flour in a large bowl and grate the potatoes into it. Add Tata Sampann Chilli Powder, rock salt, cumin seeds, and coriander leaves, mix well with your hand.
  3. Drop small portions of the mixture into hot oil and deep-fry on medium heat till golden brown and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
  4. Transfer into a serving bowl and serve hot with coconut chutney.
