Fusion food is a general term for the combination of various forms of cookery and comes in several forms.

Ingredients for Upma - Chinese Style Recipe

  • Semolina 2 cups

  • Spring Onion sliced 2

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Soy sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Chilli sauce 1 teaspoon

  • White pepper powder 1/4 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Green capsicum seeded 1 medium

  • Babycorn blanched and sliced 4

  • Carrot blanched and sliced 1 medium


Step 1

Heat ghee in a non stick pan roast semolina till light brown. Remove and set it aside.

Step 2

In the same pane add one tablespoon ghee add onions and saute till light brown.Add soya sauce, sweet chilli sauce, white pepper powder and salt and saute for a minute.

Step 3

Add capsicums, baby caorns, carrots and toss for two minutes.Add semolina add two cups water and let it simmer till the water absorbs. Serve hot.
