Ingredients list for Upma - Chinese Style

  • 2 cups Semolina
  • 2 Spring Onion sliced
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 teaspoon Soy sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Chilli sauce
  • 1/4 teaspoon White pepper powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 medium Green capsicum seeded
  • 4 Babycorn blanched and sliced
  • 1 medium Carrot blanched and sliced

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a non stick pan roast semolina till light brown. Remove and set it aside.
  2. In the same pane add one tablespoon ghee add onions and saute till light brown.Add soya sauce, sweet chilli sauce, white pepper powder and salt and saute for a minute.
  3. Add capsicums, baby caorns, carrots and toss for two minutes.Add semolina add two cups water and let it simmer till the water absorbs. Serve hot.
