By Sanjeev Kapoor 22 Feb 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Coconut, Butter Cuisine Karnataka Course Desserts Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 26-30 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Thengai Thirattipal 3 cups Coconut scraped 1 tablespoon Butter 1 cup Sugar powdered 1/2 cup Milk 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder 6 Almonds sliced thinly 6 Pistachios sliced thinly 1/2 cup Desiccated coconut Method Heat the butter in a non-stick wok. Add the scraped coconut and fry till pink. Add the sugar and milk and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes stirring continuously. Cook till the mixture becomes thick or till the butter starts showing on the surface. Add the sliced nuts. Mix well. Remove from fire. Pour the above mixture in a grased plate, level the top and set aside to set. Decorate with desiccated coconut and cut into cubes. Serve.
