Be a kid or a teenage or an adult or an oldie, chicken lovers trend all over the world at all times! One meat that is a favourite of all beyond belief! When cooked, it can be presented in many guises. Sauté it, fry it, toss it, bake it, steam it – eat it the way you want to. Whatever its form may be upon being cooked, its flavour may change but its flesh remains high in protein, low in fat and can be digested easily.

Ingredients for Tangy Chicken Recipe

  • Chicken cut into cubes 1/2 kilogram

  • Lemon juice 1 tablespoon

  • Red chilli powder 1/2 teaspoon

  • Roasted cumin powder 1 1/2 teaspoons

  • Ginger paste 1 teaspoon

  • Garlic paste 1 teaspoon

  • Onion paste 3/4 cup

  • Salt to taste

  • Oil 1/2 cup

  • Sugar 1/2 teaspoon

  • Cumin seeds 1 teaspoon

  • Green chillies slit 4-5

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 2 tablespoons

Method

Step 1

Marinate the chicken with lemon juice, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, onion paste and salt. Set it aside for twenty minutes.

Step 2

Heat oil a non-stick pan. Add sugar and cook till changes color. Add cumin seeds and saute till it crackles. Add green chillies and saute for a minute.

Step 3

Add the marinated chicken and salt and continue cooking on low heat by sprinkling little water at a time to avoid burning till chicken gets almost cooked. Add yogurt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well. Serve hot.
