Ingredients list for Tahini Mashed Potatoes

  • 3-4 medium Potatoes boiled peeled and mashed
  • 2 tablespoons Tahini
  • 3 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 medium Onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin powder roasted
  • ½ tsp + to srpinkle Red chilli powder
  • 5-6 Garlic cloves crushed
  • 2-3 tablespoons Fresh cream
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon White sesame seeds (safed til) toasted

Method

  1. Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add onions and sauté.
  2. Put mashed potatoes in a bowl.
  3. Add cumin powder, red chilli powder and freshly crushed garlic to the pan and sauté. Add this to the potatoes and mix. Add tahini and mix well. Add cream and mix well. Add salt and mix well.
  4. Transfer the mixture into a serving plate, sprinkle sesame seeds and a little red chilli powder and serve warm or cold.
