Ingredients list for Sweet Potato Tots

  • 1 large Sweet potato boiled, peeled and mashed
  • 1 Egg
  • ½ cup Refined flour (maida)
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Paprika
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • for deep-frying Oil
  • 1 cup Bread crumbs Panko

Method

  1. Mix together sweet potato, egg, ¼ cup flour, salt, paprika and garlic powder in a bowl and knead into a dough.
  2. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai.
  3. Take the remaining flour in another bowl and add some water to make slurry.
  4. Divide the sweet potato mixture into 16 equal balls. Dip them in the slurry and coat with breadcrumbs.
  5. Deep fry the balls in hot oil till golden brown and crisp. Drain on an absorbent paper.
  6. Serve hot.
