Ingredients list for Stromboli
- 5-6 medium Mushrooms sliced
- 4 Cheese slices
- 1 Egg
- 4 tablespoons Milk
- Bread dough to make one loaf
- 2 medium Onion
- 2 medium Red capsicum
- as required Tomato ketchup
- to taste Salt
- to taste Black pepper powder
- 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley
- 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese
- a pinch Fresh oregano
Method
- Preheat the oven to 160°C.Grease the baking sheet.
- Beat the egg and mix it with milk to give the bread an egg-milk wash.Punch out the air bubbles in the bread dough.
- Roll into a large rectangle on a slightly floured surface.Brush with the egg-milk wash.
- Place the cheese slices in the middle one third of the rectangle.Mix the other filling ingredients together and place over the cheese slices.
- Fold in the other one thirds of the rectangle over the center.Brush with the remaining egg-milk wash.
- Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano.Place on the greased baking sheet and place it in the preheated oven.
- Bake for twenty minutes or till the top is slightly browned.Take it out and placed on a rack to cool before slicing.
