Ingredients for Stewed Oranges with Icecream Recipe

  • Oranges Small small 16

  • Sugar 2 cups

  • Bay leaves 3

  • Black peppercorns 1 teaspoon

  • Cloves 4-5

  • Cinnamon sticks 2 two-inch

  • Vanilla ice cream as required


Step 1

Cook 2 cups sugar in 2 liters water in a deep non-stick pan. Add bay leaves, black peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon.

Step 2

Prick the oranges with a toothpick and add to pan and cook for 3-4 hours.

Step 3

Cool and store in a glass jar.

Step 4

For serving, place an orange in a serving bowl. Top it with 1 scoop of ice cream and serve.
