Ingredients list for Soya Granule Rice

  • 1 cup Soya granules soaked in hot water
  • 1 cup Basmati rice soaked for ½ hour
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 stick Cinnamon
  • 3-4 Cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 3 medium Onions chopped
  • 1 teaspoon Coriander powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
  • to taste Salt
  • 2 1/2 cups Milk
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 sprig Fresh coriander leaves

Method

  1. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add cinnamon, cloves, cumin seeds and saute till fragrant. Add onions and saute for 2 minutes. Drain and add soya granules and mix and saute for 2 minutes.
  2. Add coriander powder, red chilli powder and turmeric powder and saute. Add salt and drained rice and mix well gently.Add milk and ½ cup water and mix. Add garam masala powder and mix.
  3. When the mixture comes to a boil, cover and cook on medium heat till the rice is done. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot.
