Ingredients for Sooji Aur Besan Ka Halva Recipe

  • Semolina 1/4 cup

  • Gram Flour 3 tablespoons

  • Ghee 2 tablespoons

  • Saffron (kesar) a few strands

  • Milk 3/4 cup

  • Green cardamom powder 1/2 cup

  • Sugar 1 cup

  • Almonds slivered 2-3

  • Pistachios slivered 5-6

Method

Step 1

Heat ghee in a non stick pan. Once the ghee melts, add semolina and sauté till light brown. Add gram flour and sauté for 3-4 minutes on high heat, stirring continuously. Add saffron and mix.

Step 2

When the mixture turns a light brown, add milk slowly, stirring. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.Add green cardamom powder and sugar and mix till the sugar dissolves. Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with almond and pistachio slivers and serve hot.
