Ingredients for Simple Buns Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 1 2/3 cups

  • Sugar 3 tablespoons

  • Salt 1/2 small bunches

  • Instant yeast 3/4 teaspoon

  • Egg 1

  • Milk 100 millilitres

  • Soft butter 1 1/2 tablespoons


Step 1

Mix refined flour, sugar, salt and instant yeast in a bowl. Break egg into the bowl.

Step 2

Add milk and soft butter and knead into soft dough. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.

Step 3

Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls and arrange in a 6 inch round greased cake tin. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes more.

Step 4

Preheat the oven at 180°C. Place the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-17 minutes.

Step 5

Take the oven out of the oven and allow to cool down to room temperature.

Step 6

Arrange the buns on a serving platter and serve.
