The main difference between Italian and Indo Italian dishes is that the dishes which require stuffing, Indian vegetables and masalas replace the authentic Italian ones. 
Authentic Italian foods use the typical Italian herbs to flavour but very little chillies. And since we Indians like our food to be spicier, plenty of chilli flakes do the needful.

Cook time : 6-10 minutes

Ingredients for Rawa Bread(pizza style) Recipe

  • Yogurt 1 cup

  • Semolina (rawa/suji) 1/2 cup

  • Bread 4 slices

  • Onion chopped 1 medium

  • Green capsicum chopped 1 medium

  • Tomato deseeded & chopped 1 medium

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Fresh coriander leaves chopped 1/2 cup

  • Oil 1 tablespoon


Step 1

In a large bowl mix together semolina, yogurt, onion, green capsicum, tomatoes, salt, red chilli powder and coriander leaves and mix well. Set aside for five minutes.

Step 2

Apply the mixture on one side of the bread.Heat oil on a non-stick tawa. Put the bread and cook till done on both sides.Serve hot with tomato sauce.
