By Sanjeev Kapoor 12 Mar 2021 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Prawns, Refined flour Cuisine Japanese Course Snacks and Starters Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Easy Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Prawn Tempura 12-16 Prawns shelled, deveined with tails intact 1 cup + for dusting Refined flour 1/4 cup Cornflour 1/2 cup Rice flour 1/2 teaspoon Baking soda to taste Salt to deep fry Oil Method Take refined flour in a bowl, add cornflour, rice flour, baking powder and salt, mix lightly. Add ¼ cup cold water and mix well to form a thin and lump free batter. Heat sufficient oil in a deep pan. Dip the prawns in the tempura batter till they are evenly coated, slide into hot oil and deep-fry till light golden and crisp. Drain on absorbent paper.
