Ingredients list for Pizza Dough Balls

  • as required Pizza dough
  • for dusting Refined flour
  • for brushing Milk
  • 1 cup Mayonnaise
  • Pesto dip
  • 12-16 Fresh basil leaves
  • 6-8 Garlic cloves
  • 1 tablespoon Pine nuts
  • to taste Black peppercorns , crushed
  • to taste Salt
  • 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese powder
  • 1/4 cup Olive oil
  • Mustard dip
  • 1 tablespoon Pommery mustard
  • Cocktail dip
  • 1 teaspoon Tabasco sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Tomato ketchup
  • 1 teaspoon Fresh parsley , chopped

Method

  1. Preheat oven to 180° C.
  2. Dust the worktop with some flour, place the dough on it and knock back to release excess air.
  3. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls. Place on a baking tray and brush some milk on top.
  4. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 20-25 minutes. Remove from oven.
  5. To make pesto sauce, put garlic cloves in a grinder jar, add pine nuts, crushed peppercorns, salt, basil leaves, Parmesan cheese powder and olive oil and grind into a slightly coarse paste.
  6. Divide mayonnaise into 3 equal portions and put into 3 different bowls.
  7. Add 1 tablespoon pesto to one bowl of mayonnaise and mix well.
  8. To prepare mustard dip, add pommery mustard to the second bowl of mayonnaise bowl and mix well.
  9. To prepare cocktail dip, add tabasco sauce, tomato ketchup and parsley to the third bowl of mayonnaise and mix well.
  10. Transfer the 3 dips into the 3 separate serving bowls.
  11. Arrange the pizza balls on a serving platter and serve them with the 3 dips.
