Ingredients for Pear And Mulberry Upside Down Cake Recipe

  • Pears cored and sliced 2

  • Mulberries 1/2 cup

  • Honey or golden syrup 4 tablespoons

  • Lemon 1

  • Refined flour (maida) 100 grams

  • Baking powder 1 teaspoon

  • Butter 100 grams

  • Brown sugar 2 tablespoons

  • Eggs 2

  • Milk 3 tablespoons

  • Custard 1 cup

Method

Step 1

Grease an eight-inch microwave cake dish. Spoon honey on the base of the dish. Grate the lemon skin over the honey.

Step 2

Arrange the pear slices all round the edge of the dish. Place the mulberries in the centre. Sieve refined flour and baking power into a bowl.

Step 3

Melt the butter and add along with brown sugar and mix. Break the eggs and add and beat everything well using a hand blender.

Step 4

Add milk and beat.

Step 5

Spoon the batter over the fruits in the dish. Cook on microwave HIGH for ten to twelve minutes. Let it stand for two to three minutes.

Step 6

Loosen the edges and turn it upside down on a serving dish. Spoon custard all around and serve.
