Ingredients list for Peanut Pakodi
- 1 cup Peanuts shelled
- 3/4 cup Gram Flour
- 2 tablespoons Rice flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoons Red chilli powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Cumin seeds coarsely crushed
- a pinch Citric acid powder
- to taste Salt
- 1/4 cup Water (approx)
- 1 tablespoon + to deep fry Oil
Method
- Mix together gram flour, rice flour, red chilli powder, crushed cumin seeds, citric acid powder, salt and one-fourth cup of water.
- Add peanuts, coat them evenly with the mixture. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Drop a lumpfull of the coated nuts in hot oil. Fry on medium heat, till light golden.
- Drain onto an absorbent paper to soak excess oil. Separate any nuts stuck together. When cool, store in airtight jars. Serve with drinks, cocktails or as anytime snacks.
