You might be picking out these emerald hued little jewels from your food. But, wait, before you do that anymore! As these are a good source of fibre and potassium, which keeps all of our body cells functioning properly. Just when you thought that green peas are only used to add that extra punch to your savoury dishes, try a rich, creamy matar ki kheer to satiate your sweet buds too!

Ingredients for Matar Kebabs Recipe

  • Green peas 1 cup

  • Paneer (cottage cheese) grated 75 grams

  • Green chilli 1 teaspoon

  • Onion finely chopped 1 medium

  • Chole masala 2 teaspoon

  • Salt to taste

  • Red chilli powder 1 teaspoon

  • Cornflour/ corn starch 5 tablespoon

  • Oil to deep fry

Method

Step 1

Grind green peas and green chilli to a coarse paste.

Step 2

Add cottage cheese, onion, chole masala, salt, red chilli powder, corn flour and mix well.Divide the mixture into equal portions and roll into cylinders.Heat oil in a kadai.

Step 3

Deep fry the prepared cylinders till golden brown and crisp.Drain on an absorbent paper and Serve hot with tomato ketchup.
