Ingredients list for KAJU KHOYA BESAN LADDOO

  • 1/2 cup Cashew nuts , coarsely powdered
  • 2 cups Khoya/mawa , grated
  • 1 cup Coarse gram flour (besan) (jada besan)
  • 1/3 cup Ghee
  • 2-3 teaspoons Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • 1 cup Powdered sugar

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a wide non-stick pan. Add coarse gram flour and mix well. Continuously roast on low heat till it turns golden brown and fragrant.
  2. Switch the heat off, add the grate khoya and mix it till well combined.
  3. Add poppy seeds, green cardamom powder, and cashew nuts powder and sauté on low heat for 1-2 minutes.
  4. Transfer the roasted mixture on to a large bowl and allow to cool to room temperature.
  5. Add the powdered sugar and mix well with your hand. Take small portions of the mixture and tightly roll it into a ball. This is a laddoo.
  6. Arrange the laddoos on a serving plate. Serve.
