How many times have we thought rice is a blessing? We use it for holy purposes but we also can pressure up a quick pulao or khichdi when hunger pangs are drumming away! This is one grain that is about 98% percent digestible. In India we are familiar with Basmati, Patna or brown rice but it is also available as Italian Rice and Glutinous Rice which is popular in Chinese and Japanese cuisines.

Cook time : 26-30 minutes

Ingredients for Green Garlic Fried Rice Recipe

  • Rice soaked 1 kilogram

  • Chicken stock 1 cup

  • Green garlic finely chopped 1/2 cup

  • Oil 3 tablespoons

  • Garlic chopped a few clov

  • Eggs 3

  • Oyster sauce 1 teaspoon

  • Worcestershire sauce 1 teaspoon

  • White pepper powder 3 teaspoons

  • Salt to taste

  • Chicken breast boiled and shredded 1

Method

Step 1

Parboil the rice with chicken stock, drain and keep aside. Heat oil in a non-stick pan. Add garlic and saute till light brown.

Step 2

Add the eggs and stir till it gets cooked. Add oyster sauce, worcestershire sauce, white pepper powder and salt and mix well.

Step 3

Add green garlic, boiled chicken breast, parboiled rice and mix well. Lower the heat and cook till the rice gets cooked.
