Ingredients list for French Bean And Sesame Salad

  • 250 grams French beans cut into thin diagonal slivers
  • 2 tablespoons Roasted sesame seeds
  • 1 small Dark green cucumber unpeeled and cubed
  • 1 stalk Celery, chopped
  • a few Lettuce leaves
  • For dressing
  • 2 tablespoons Salad oil
  • 2 tablespoons Vinegar
  • 1/2 teaspoon Mustard paste
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 Pickled gherkin, minced
  • to taste Salt
  • to taste Black pepper powder

Method

  1. Put all the ingredients for the dressing into a small glass jar and shake well. Place in a refrigerator till required. Steam the French beans for five minutes and drain.
  2. Leave to cool. Mix together the beans, cucumber and celery in a bowl. Just before serving, pour the dressing over the salad.
  3. Sprinkle with the sesame seeds and serve on a bed of lettuce.
