Ingredients list for Corn Capsicum Vada

  • 2 Sweet corn kernels
  • 2 medium onions chopped
  • 1 medium Green capsicum, chopped
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam masala powder
  • 1 teaspoon Green chilli paste
  • 1 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1/2 cup Semolina (rawa/suji)
  • 5 tablespoons Gram flour (besan)
  • to taste Salt
  • for coating Bread crumbs
  • for frying Oil

Method

  1. Grind coarsely the corn kernels without using water.
  2. Transfer the corn kernels in a bowl. Add onions, green capsicum., green chilli paste, red chilli powder, semolina, gram flour and salt and mix well.
  3. Divide the batter into equal sized ball and keep aside. Roll the vadas in bread crumbs evenly.
  4. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai and deep fry till they turn golden brown in colour from all the sides.Serve immediately.
