Ingredients for Chocolate Caramel Pot Recipe

  • Dark chocolate chopped 250 grams

  • Castor sugar (caster sugar) ½ cup

  • Milk 1 cup

  • Fresh cream ½ cup

  • Cinnamon powder ½ teaspoon

  • Egg yolks 3

  • Butter 2 tablespoon

  • Sea salt to sprinkle


Step 1

To prepare custard, heat milk in a non-stick pan. Add ¼ cup cream, ¼ cup castor sugar and cinnamon powder, mix and bring the mixture to a boil.

Step 2

Take egg yolks in a bowl and whisk. Add some milk mixture and whisk well. Add it to the rest of milk mixture in the pan, whisk and cook for 1-2 minutes.

Step 3

Add chocolate, mix and cook till it melts. Transfer into another bowl and whisk.

Step 4

To prepare caramel sauce, heat remaining castor sugar in another non-stick pan and cook till it caramelizes. Add remaining cream and mix. Add butter, mix and cook for 1 minute.

Step 5

Pour the chocolate custard mixture into small individual glass jarsupto¾ full and refrigerate for 20-30 minutes or till set.

Step 6

Put some caramel sauce and sprinkle some sea salt on top. Refrigerate for 20-30 minutes.
