Ingredients for Caramelized Banana Sundae Recipe

  • Ripe bananas 4

  • Sugar 16 tablespoons

  • Vanilla ice cream 4 scoops

  • Chocolate ice cream 8 scoops

  • Cashewnuts , chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Almonds , chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Ppistachios , chopped 4 tablespoons

  • Bbutter 8 tablespoons

  • Chocolate sauce 12 tablespoons


Step 1

Heat a non-stick pan, add cashewnuts, almonds and pistachios and dry roast on medium heat till light golden.

Step 2

For each portion cook 4 tbsps sugar with 2 tbsps water in another non-stick pan till sugar melts and caramelizes.

Step 3

Trim the two ends and peel a banana and slit it vertically.

Step 4

Add 2 tbsps butter to the caramel and mix. Add the banana halves and roll them in the caramel sauce till they are completely covered.

Step 5

Place the bananas in a serving plate and drizzle some of the caramel sauce over them. Place 2 scoops of vanilla ice cream and 1 scoop of chocolate ice cream over them. Drizzle 2 tbsps chocolate sauce. Sprinkle some of the roasted nuts. Put another scoop of chocolate ice cream on top.

Step 6

Drizzle some of the remaining caramel sauce and 2 tbsps chocolate sauce over the icecream scoops. Sprinkle a few roasted nuts and drizzle remaining caramel sauce and 1 tbsp chocolate sauce over them. Sprinkle some more roasted nuts and serve immediately.
