Ingredients list for Burritos With Chicken And Rice
- 8 Fresh Flour Tortilla
- 2 Basmati Rice
- 1/2 cup Basmati rice soaked
- 1 tablespoon Oil
- 1 medium Onion chopped
- 1/2 teaspoon Clove powder
- 1/2 teaspoon Dried oregano
- 4 large Tomatoes chopped
- 1 1/4 cups Cheddar cheese grated
- to taste Salt
- to garnish Fresh oregano chopped
Method
- Boil plenty of water in a deep pan. Add rice and cook till done, ensuring that the grains remain firm and separate. Drain and set aside.
- Heat oil in a pan, add onion, clove powder and dried oregano and sauté for two to three minutes.
- Stir in tomatoes and cook till the tomatoes turn pulpy. Stir in rice and salt, mix well and then set the mixture aside .
- Boil the chicken breasts in salted water till done.
- Drain and shred. Add the shredded chicken and cheese to the rice and mix .
- Heat the tortillas and put the filling in the center of each tortilla.
- Fold the tortillas in the form of a parcel. Serve hot garnished with fresh oregano.
