Ingredients list for Burani Espanaaj

  • 1 1/2 cups Yogurt
  • 25-30 Spinach leaves (palak)
  • 2 tablespoons Oil
  • 2 medium Onions sliced
  • 5-6 cloves Garlic chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder

Method

  1. Shred spinach leaves and then chop finely. Heat oil in a non stick pan, add onions and garlic and sauté till lightly browned.
  2. Add spinach and mix and sauté. Add salt, pepper powder and cook till dry. Set aside in a bowl in the refrigerator to cool completely. Keep aside a little spinach for garnish and add yogurt to the rest and mix well.
  3. Transfer into a serving bowl, garnish with reserved spinach and serve chilled.
