Ingredients list for Black Pepper Malpua

  • 1/2 teaspoon Crushed black peppercorns
  • 1 1/2 cup Milk thickened
  • 1 tablespoon Refined flour (maida)
  • 1 tablespoon Semolina (rawa/suji)
  • 1 tablespoon Khoya/mawa grated
  • to deep fry Ghee
  • Saffron flavoured sugar syrup of one string consistency

Method

  1. In a bowl mix together thickened milk, refined flour, semolina, khoya and crushed black peppercorns and whisk well.
  2. Heat ghee in a non stick pan.
  3. Drop ladleful of the batter into the ghee and fry, turning sides, till golden brown.
  4. Drain and dip in the sugar syrup. Transfer into a serving plate and serve.
