Ingredients for Banana and Walnut Loaf Recipe

  • Bananas puree 2 cups

  • Walnuts finely chopped ¾ cup

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Baking soda 1 teaspoon

  • Salt ¼ teaspoon

  • Eggs 2

  • brown sugar/jaggery ¾ cup

  • Vanilla essence 1 teaspoon

  • Oil 100 millilitres

Method

Step 1

Preheat oven to180°C.

Step 2

Sift together refined flour, baking soda and salt in a bowl.

Step 3

Add walnuts and mix well.

Step 4

Break eggs into another bowl. Add sugar and beat well with an electric beater.

Step 5

Add vanilla essence and beat again. Add banana puree and beat again.

Step 6

Fold in flour mixture and beat till well blended. Add oil and beat once again.

Step 7

Pour batter in a silicon mould filling it till ¾ full, tap and place in the preheated oven. Bake for 35-40 minutes.

Step 8

Remove from oven, cool and demould. Slice and serve.
