Spiced Peach Iced Tea

Peach is a summer fruit and can be eaten in various ways – either by itself or made into some dish. Here we have used it to flavour iced tea which can almost instantly rejuvenate a person on a hot summer day.

Spiced Peach Iced Tea

  • 2-3 medium peaches, peeled and chopped
  • 1 small peach, thinly sliced
  • 1 inch cinnamon 
  • 5-6 tea bags
  • 6-8 tablespoons sugar 
  • 1½ teaspoons lemon juice
  • Ice cubes as required
  • 5-6 lemon slices + to serve
  • 6-8 fresh mint leaves + to serve


  1. To make peach jam, heat a non-stick pan, add chopped peaches, 2-3 tablespoons sugar and ½ teaspoon lemon juice, mix well and cook till sugar melts.
  2. Add ¼ cup water, mix and cook till the peach turns soft and pulpy. Take the pan off the heat and allow the jam to cool down to room temperature.
  3. Bring 4 cups water to a boil in a deep pan. Break cinnamon and add to the water.
  4. Add remaining sugar and cook till it melts. Take the pan off the heat and strain the mixture into a jar.
  5. Dip the tea bags for a few times or till the flavour is infused well. Discard the tea bag and add ice cubes.
  6. Add peach jam, some lemon slices, mint leaves and remaining lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Put ice cubes in serving glasses, add some lemon slices, some mint leaves, a few peach slices, and pour the peach tea over. Serve immediately.
