Plum Popsicle

The season’s best frozen delicacy. The seasonal plum fruit as a chatpata, popsicle will pep you up on a sultry afternoon. This is Sanjeev Kapoor exclusive recipe.

Method

  1. Heat a non-stick pan, add plums and dry roast for 1 minute. Add ¼ cup water, mix and cook till the plums become soft and pulpy.
  2. Add sugar and mix, continue to cook till the sugar melts. Mash the plums with the back of a spoon and mix.
  3. Add roasted cumin powder, chaat masala and black salt, mix well and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  4. Switch the heat off, add lemon juice and mix till well combined. Allow to cool completely. 
  5. Transfer the mixture into a blender jar and blend into a smooth mixture. Strain the mixture into a bowl.
  6. Transfer the mixture equally into individual popsicle moulds and close the lid. Freeze for 6-8 hours.
  7. De-mould and serve.
