Ingredients
- 250 grams ready-made chicken tikka, cut into ½ inch pieces
- 4 ready-made baos
- 1 tablespoon + 4 teaspoons butter
- 1 teaspoon oil
- 1 teaspoon red chilli powder
- ½ teaspoon garam masala powder
- ½ tablespoon ginger-garlic paste
- 1 cup tomato puree
- Salt to taste
- ¼ teaspoon dried fenugreek leaves (kasuri methi) powder
- 1-2 teaspoons honey
- 1-2 tablespoons fresh cream
- Shredded cabbage as required
- Mayonnaise for drizzling
- Spring onion greens slices for garnish
Method
- Heat 1 tablespoon butter and oil in a pan. Add red chilli powder, garam masala powder and ginger-garlic paste, mix and sauté for 30 seconds.
- Add tomato puree, mix well and saute for 3-4 minutes. Add salt, mix and saute for 1-2 minutes.
- Add chicken tikka and mix well. Add dried fenugreek leaves powder and honey and mix. Add fresh cream and mix well. Take the pan off the heat.
- Heat remaining butter in a non-stick pan till it melts. Place the baos in it and toast till golden on both sides.
- Stuff each bao with some cabbage, place a portion of the chicken mixture. Drizzle mayonnaise and garnish with spring onion greens. Place them in serving plates and serve.
