History of Indian cuisine dates back to nearly 5,000-years ago when various groups and cultures interacted with India that led to a diversity of flavours and regional cuisines.
Indian cuisine comprises of a number of regional cuisines.  The diversity in soil type, climate, culture, ethnic group and occupations, these cuisines differ from each other mainly due to the use of locally available spices, herbs, vegetables and fruits. Indian food is also influenced by religious and cultural choices and traditions. 
Foreign invasions, trade relations and colonialism had introduced certain foods to the country like potato, chillies and breadfruit.

Ingredients for WONDER DOUGH Recipe

  • Refined flour (maida) 2 cups

  • Salt to taste

  • Baking soda 1 teaspoon

  • Yogurt 1/2 cup

  • Oil 2 teaspoons

Method

Step 1

Take refined flour in a large parat. Add salt, baking soda, yogurt, oil and around ¼ cup water and mix well. Knead to a soft dough and continue to knead for 5 minutes. Once the dough is smooth, cover with a bowl and set aside to rest for 3 hours.

Step 2

Use this wonder dough for making kulchas, naan, bhatura, etc.
