By Sanjeev Kapoor 08 Mar 2017 in Recipes Veg New Update Main Ingredients Ghee, Sugar Cuisine Sindhi Course Mithais Prep Time 21-25 minutes Cook time 6-10 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Easy Others Veg Ingredients list for Varo 1 tablespoon Ghee 1 cup Sugar 1 medium Dried coconut ( khopra) sliced 2 tablespoons Poppy seeds (khuskhus/posto) ½ teaspoon Green cardamom powder 1 cup Mixed nuts (almonds, pistachios, cashewnuts), sliced Method Heat ghee in a non-stick pan. Add sugar and cook till it caramelizes and turns a light brown. Add nuts, coconut, poppy seeds and cardamom powder, mix well till the nuts are coated well with the caramelised sugar. Pour this mixture on the back of a thali. Using the flat side of a katori, flatten the mixture into a thick chapatti. This has to be done very quickly as the mixture begins to harden as soon as it is removed from heat.Set aside for some time to set.
