By Sanjeev Kapoor 19 Dec 2014 in Recipes Veg New Update Urad Dal Matar Fry Main Ingredients Split bengal gram, Shelled green peas Cuisine Punjabi Course Main Course Vegetarian Prep Time 16-20 minutes Cook time 16-20 minutes Serve 4 Taste Spicy Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients 1 cup Split bengal gram cooked with salt and turmeric powder till just done 1 cup Shelled green peas 2 tablespoons Oil 2 teaspoons Cumin seeds 3 medium Onions chopped 2 Green chillies chopped 1 1/2 inch piece Ginger chopped to taste Salt 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder 1 Lemon a few sprigs Fresh coriander leaves 3 tablespoons Scraped coconut Method Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let them brown. Add onions, green chillies and ginger and saute till fragrant. Add black gram and green peas and mix. Add salt, red chilli powder, juice of ½ lemon. Chop coriander leaves and add and mix well. Add coconut and mix. Serve hot.
