Ingredients
- 1 cup split skinless black gram cooked with salt and turmeric powder till just done
- 1 cup shelled green peas
- 2 tablespoons oil
- 2 teaspoons cumin seeds
- 3 medium onions, chopped
- 2 green chillies, chopped
- 1 1/2 inch ginger piece, chopped
- Salt to taste
- 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
- 1 lemon
- A few sprigs of fresh coriander leaves
- 3 tablespoons scraped fresh coconut
Method
- Heat oil in a non stick pan. Add cumin seeds and let them brown. Add onions, green chillies and ginger and saute till fragrant.
- Add black gram and green peas and mix. Add salt, red chilli powder, juice of ½ lemon. Chop coriander leaves and add and mix well. Add coconut and mix. Serve hot.
