Ingredients list for Toshe

  • 1 3/4 cups Refined Flour
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • 1 1/4 cups Powdered sugar
  • 100 grams Mawa (khoya) grated
  • 1 cup Milk
  • to deep fry Oil

Method

  1. Sieve the refined flour. Rub ghee into the flour. Mix in the powdered sugar and grated khoya. Slowly add milk and knead into a stiff dough. (You might not need the full cup of milk).
  2. Cover and keep it aside for half an hour. Roll out the dough into half-centimeter thick chapatis. Cut into desired shapes. Heat sufficient oil in a kadai. Fry toshe till golden. Drain, cool and store in an air-tight container.
