By Sanjeev Kapoor 06 Jan 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients White Sesame Seeds, Refined Flour Cuisine Maharashtrian Course Breads Prep Time 11-15 minutes Cook time 11-15 minutes Serve 4 Taste Sweet Level of Cooking Moderate Others Veg Ingredients list for Til Poli 1 cup White Sesame Seeds 1/2 Refined Flour 2 tablespoons Gram flour (besan) 250 grams Jaggery (gur) grated 1 1/2 teaspoons Green cardamom powder 3 teaspoons Oil 1 cup + for dusting Refined flour (maida) 1/2 cup Whole wheat flour (atta) a pinch Salt as required Ghee Method For the stuffing dry roast sesame seeds and khopra separately. Cool and powder coarsely. Dry roast gram flour till fragrant. Cool and mix with the powdered khopra and sesame seeds. Add jaggery and green cardamom powder and mix. Add one tablespoon of oil and mix well. Divide into twelve portions and roll into balls. Mix together maida, atta and salt. Heat the remaining oil and add to the flours and mix with your fingertips. Add sufficient water and knead into a firm dough. Cover with a damp cloth and rest the dough for fifteen minutes. Divide into twelve equal portions. Stuff each dough portion with the stuffing portion and roll into balls. Further carefully roll them out into chapattis, dusting with flour as required, taking care that the stuffing does not come out. Heat a non stick tawa and roast the til polis on both the sides, drizzling a little ghee, till light brown specks appear. Serve drizzled with a little ghee.
