Ingredients list for Thengai Thirattipal
- 3 cups Coconut scraped
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 1 cup Sugar powdered
- 1/2 cup Milk
- 1/4 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
- 6 Almonds sliced thinly
- 6 Pistachios sliced thinly
- 1/2 cup Desiccated coconut
Method
- Heat the butter in a non-stick wok. Add the scraped coconut and fry till pink. Add the sugar and milk and cook on low heat for 5-10 minutes stirring continuously.
- Cook till the mixture becomes thick or till the butter starts showing on the surface.
- Add the sliced nuts. Mix well. Remove from fire. Pour the above mixture in a grased plate, level the top and set aside to set. Decorate with desiccated coconut and cut into cubes. Serve.
