Ingredients list for Thengai Arushi Adai
- 3 cups Rice
- 1 cup Coconut scraped
- 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- to taste Salt
- 2 tablespoons Oil
Method
- Wash and soak the rice in enough water for 5-6 hours. Drain. Mix the scraped coconut and rice and grind it to a coarse batter.
- Add the pepper powder and salt. Mix well. Heat a griddle and grease it. Pour a spoonful of batter in the centre of the griddle and spread evenly.
- Pour 1 teaspoon of oil along the edges and cook till crisp. Turn and repeat the procedure. Serve hot.
