Ingredients list for Tangy Chicken

  • 1/2 kilogram Chicken cut into cubes
  • 1 tablespoon Lemon juice
  • 1/2 teaspoon Red chilli powder
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons Roasted cumin powder
  • 1 teaspoon Ginger paste
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic paste
  • 3/4 cup Onion paste
  • to taste Salt
  • 1/2 cup Oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon Sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Cumin seeds
  • 4-5 Green chillies slit
  • 1 cup Yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh coriander leaves chopped

Method

  1. Marinate the chicken with lemon juice, red chilli powder, roasted cumin powder, ginger paste, garlic paste, onion paste and salt. Set it aside for twenty minutes.
  2. Heat oil a non-stick pan. Add sugar and cook till changes color. Add cumin seeds and saute till it crackles. Add green chillies and saute for a minute.
  3. Add the marinated chicken and salt and continue cooking on low heat by sprinkling little water at a time to avoid burning till chicken gets almost cooked. Add yogurt and mix well. Add coriander leaves and mix well.
    Serve hot.
