Ingredients list for Sweet Potato Kheer

  • 3 medium Sweet potatoes grated and soaked in water
  • 5 cups Milk
  • 1 tablespoon Ghee
  • 1 tablespoon Rose petals
  • 1/2 teaspoon Green cardamom powder
  • to taste Sugar
  • 2 tablespoons Rose syrup

Method

  1. Heat ghee in a pan.
  2. Add sweet potatoes and sauté for two to three minutes. Add milk and cook. As the sweet potato gets cooked the milk will thicken. Add half the rose petals and green cardamom powder and stir and cook till the mixture thickens slightly. Add sugar and stir and cook till you get the desired consistency.
  3. Set aside to cool and place in the refrigerator to chill.
  4. Pour into serving bowls, brush the top with rose syrup, sprinkle the remaining rose petals and serve.
