By Sanjeev Kapoor 15 Jun 2016 in Recipes Course New Update Main Ingredients Mushrooms, Cheese slices Cuisine Italian Course Breads Prep Time 51-60 minutes Cook time 51-60 minutes Serve 4 Taste Mild Level of Cooking Moderate Others Non Veg Ingredients list for Stromboli 5-6 medium Mushrooms sliced 4 Cheese slices 1 Egg 4 tablespoons Milk Bread dough to make one loaf 2 medium Onion 2 medium Red capsicum as required Tomato ketchup to taste Salt to taste Black pepper powder 1 tablespoon Fresh parsley 1 tablespoon Parmesan cheese a pinch Fresh oregano Method Preheat the oven to 160°C.Grease the baking sheet. Beat the egg and mix it with milk to give the bread an egg-milk wash.Punch out the air bubbles in the bread dough. Roll into a large rectangle on a slightly floured surface.Brush with the egg-milk wash. Place the cheese slices in the middle one third of the rectangle.Mix the other filling ingredients together and place over the cheese slices. Fold in the other one thirds of the rectangle over the center.Brush with the remaining egg-milk wash. Sprinkle with parmesan cheese and oregano.Place on the greased baking sheet and place it in the preheated oven. Bake for twenty minutes or till the top is slightly browned.Take it out and placed on a rack to cool before slicing.
