Ingredients list for Stewed Oranges with Icecream
- 16 Oranges Small small
- 2 cups Sugar
- 3 Bay leaves
- 1 teaspoon Black peppercorns
- 4-5 Cloves
- 2 two-inch Cinnamon sticks
- as required Vanilla ice cream
Method
- Cook 2 cups sugar in 2 liters water in a deep non-stick pan. Add bay leaves, black peppercorns, cloves and cinnamon.
- Prick the oranges with a toothpick and add to pan and cook for 3-4 hours.
- Cool and store in a glass jar.
- For serving, place an orange in a serving bowl. Top it with 1 scoop of ice cream and serve.
