Ingredients
- 1 cup spinach, blanched and chopped
- 50 grams of processed cheese grated
- 1 baked pie shell
- ¾ cup fresh cream
- 1 egg
- Salt to taste
- Black pepper powder to taste
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 tablespoon garlic, finely chopped
- 1 medium onion, finely chopped
Method
- Take cream, egg, salt and black pepper powder in a bowl and beat with a fork.
- Heat olive oil in a non-stick pan, add garlic and onion and sauté till fragrant.
- Add spinach and salt and sauté for 4-5 minutes. Add salt and pepper powder and mix well.
- Add cheese and mix well. Set aside to cool down.
- Preheat oven to 180˚C.
- Keep the pie shell in a pie tin. Transfer the spinach mixture into it. Top with the cream-egg mixture.
- Keep the tin in the preheated oven and bake for 25 minutes.
- Take the pie out of the tin and keep it on a serving plate. Serve.
