Ingredients list for Spinach Fish Rolls
- 2 Basa Fish Fillets
- 8 Spinach Leaves
- to taste Salt
- 1 teaspoon Black pepper powder
- 1 teaspoon Mustard paste
- 2 teaspoons Garlic paste
- 2 teaspoons Lemon juice
- 1 cup Crumbled cottage cheese (paneer)
- 1 teaspoon Red chilli flakes
- For Sauce
- 1 tablespoon Butter
- 3-4 Chives finely chopped + for garnishing
- 1 teaspoon Lemon juice
Method
- Preheat oven to 200º C.
- Cut fish fillets into thin slices and place in a bowl. Add salt, half teaspoon pepper powder, mustard paste, garlic paste, lemon juice and mix well. Set aside to marinate for ten to fifteen minutes.
- Put cottage cheese in another bowl, add remaining pepper powder, red chilli flakes and salt and mix well.
- Place a marinated fish slice on the worktop. Halve spinach leaves and place them on top of the fish. Top with a generous amount of cottage cheese mixture and roll tightly. Similarly make the remaining rolls.
- Place the rolls on a baking tray, put the tray in the preheated oven and bake for eight to ten minutes.
- To prepare the sauce, heat butter in a non-stick pan. Add little water, chives and lemon juice and mix well. Remove from heat.
- Place the baked fish rolls on a serving plate and pour hot chive sauce over them. Serve immediately garnished with a chive.
