Ingredients list for Sooji Aur Besan Ka Halva
- 1/4 cup Semolina
- 3 tablespoons Gram Flour
- 2 tablespoons Ghee
- a few strands Saffron (kesar)
- 3/4 cup Milk
- 1/2 cup Green cardamom powder
- 1 cup Sugar
- 2-3 Almonds,slivered
- 5-6 Pistachios,slivered
Method
- Heat ghee in a non stick pan. Once the ghee melts, add semolina and sauté till light brown. Add gram flour and sauté for 3-4 minutes on high heat, stirring continuously. Add saffron and mix.
- When the mixture turns a light brown, add milk slowly, stirring. Reduce heat, cover and cook for 1-2 minutes.Add green cardamom powder and sugar and mix till the sugar dissolves. Transfer onto a serving plate, garnish with almond and pistachio slivers and serve hot.
