Ingredients list for Simple Buns
- 1 2/3 cups Refined flour (maida)
- 3 tablespoons Sugar
- 1/2 small bunches Salt
- 3/4 teaspoon Instant yeast
- 1 Egg
- 100 millilitres Milk
- 1 1/2 tablespoons Soft butter
Method
- Mix refined flour, sugar, salt and instant yeast in a bowl. Break egg into the bowl.
- Add milk and soft butter and knead into soft dough. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes.
- Divide the dough into equal portions and roll into balls and arrange in a 6 inch round greased cake tin. Cover with a moist muslin cloth and set aside to prove for 10-15 minutes more.
- Preheat the oven at 180°C. Place the cake tin in the preheated oven and bake for 15-17 minutes.
- Take the oven out of the oven and allow to cool down to room temperature.
- Arrange the buns on a serving platter and serve.
