Ingredients list for Saucy Croutons

  • 3/4 cup Pasta Sauce
  • 12 White Bread Slices
  • 2 tablespoons Olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons Garlic chopped
  • 2 teaspoons Fresh herbs chopped
  • to taste Salt
  • a pinch Red chilli flakes
  • 1/2 teaspoon Butter
  • for garnish Parmesan cheese powder


  1. Cut slices into small cubes. Heat one teaspoon oil in a non-stick pan, add bread cubes and toss and saute till crisp. Remove them from the pan and set aside.
  2. Heat the remaining oil in the same pan, add garlic and sauté till golden. Add herbs, pasta sauce, salt, a pinch of red chilli flakes and a little water. Mix well and cook till the sauce thickens.
  3. Add butter and mix well and cook for a minute. Add bread cubes and toss to mix. Serve immediately garnished with Parmesan cheese powder and red chilli flakes.
