Ingredients list for Red Velvet Cheese Cake Brownie
- 1 cup Cream cheese
- 1 cup + for dusting Refined flour (maida)
- few drop cochineal colour
- ½ cup + for greasing Butter
- 1 cup + 3 tablespoons Castor sugar (caster sugar)
- ¼ cup Cocoa powder
- 2 teaspoons Vanilla essence
- a pinch Salt
- 1 teaspoon Vinegar
- 2 Eggs
- 1 Egg yolk
Method
- Preheat oven to 180º C. Grease an 8-inch baking tin with some butter and dust with some flour.
- Cream together butter and 1 cup castor sugar in a bowl with an electric beater.Add cocoa powder, 1 teaspoon vanilla essence, cochineal and salt and whisk. Add vinegar and whisk well.
- Break in eggs and whisk. Add flour and whisk well. Transfer ¾ of batter into the greased baking tin,reserving the remaining,and level it out.
- Take cream cheese in another bowl. Add 3 tablespoons castor sugar, remaining vanilla essence and egg yolk and whisk with an electric beater.
- Put the cream cheese mixture on top of the batter and level it out. Spread remaining batter on top.
- Place the tin on the baking tray. Place the baking tray in the preheated oven and bake for 25-30 minutes. Remove from oven, cool and demould.
- Serve.
