Ingredients list for Rajasthani Baati - SK Khazana
- 2 cups Whole wheat flour (atta)
- to taste Salt
- 1 pinches Baking powder
- 1 teaspoon Carom seeds (ajwain)
- 2 tablespo to grease Ghee
Method
- Preheat oven to 200º C.
- Mix together flour, salt and baking powder and carom seeds in a parat. Add ghee and knead into a stiff dough using water as required.
- Grease your palms with some ghee. Divide the dough into equal portions and shape into balls.
- Grease a baking tray with ghee and place the baatis on it. Place the tray in the preheated oven and bake for 30-35 minutes.
- Take sufficient melted ghee in a bowl. Soak the baked baatis in it for 1 hour.
- Arrange them on a serving platter and serve immediately with a bowl of hot dal.
