Ingredients list for Poha Kheer
- ½ cup Pressed rice (poha)
- 1½ cup Milk
- 1 tablespoon Ghee
- 6-7 Raisins
- 6-7 Cashewnuts
- ¼ cup Sugar
- ¼ teaspoon Green cardamom powder
Method
- Heat ghee in a non-stick pan, add raisins and cashew nuts and sauté till golden. Remove from the pan and set aside.
- Add pressed rice to the same pan and sauté for two to three minutes. Add milk and cook, stirring continuously, till the pressed rice is cooked and the mixture thickens.
- Add sugar, mix well and cook till sugar dissolves completely.
- Add cardamom powder, fried raisins and cashew nuts and mix well.
- Serve warm.
